chuPPo Chat: Pricing and volume changes

Guys,

We have gathered some statistics of where our free webcam chat option has been getting installed, the kind of sites using it, and the end audience enjoying the on-site videochat that chuPPo offers.

Pay attention that we revised our paid plans: we both increased user sessions dramatically and decreased prices - by hundreds dollars per plan. That is really cool, not even saying it’s also maturing at quality and feature set day by day.

After some discussion we also decided to increase user sessions limit for the free option. Now all free chat installs can enjoy 1,000 users per month, this is twice as much of what you had before!

The very purpose of the free chat option is not only to give websites safe start trial, but it’s more about building free chat usage audience. It is our firm intention to build substantial range of websites using chuPPo Chat free, that is why we want to provide working free solution - not only for fresh sites but also those with established communities.

    Some more suggestions for chatroom:
    - Private users.
    - Ignore users.
    - Kick users by 15 minuts, 30 min, 1 hour…Ban 24 hours, 1 day… and to write message in the kick and ban.
    - Anti-flood in the chatroom for messages.
    - Choose size video cam.
    - Choose size font for messages.

    You advertised the free 1000 users for new sites and yet the chuppo chat install doesn’t work. I contacted your support team yet they couldn’t figure fixing the issue. Wondering if the software (Skadate) really works with chuppo chat. I hold a license of the software and yet the software is not functional. 1. Welcome message does not work with the Skadate software.
    2. Chuppo chat integration a story. I wish that you guys advertise what really works you could make a killing in the market. It works good on your site.

    Suggestion I wish you could put out detailed instructions on how to integrate the chuppo chat progarm with existing sites and what pages to patse your code.

    You said it works on our site, that must be configuration issues. Our people are currently working on properly setting up chuPPo and SkaDate. In your case you do not need to paste the code, because chuPPo has preinstalled module in SkaDate.

    We will certainly put installation instructions online sometime today-tomorrow. Video guide will also be available, thanks.

    I believe you are misleading in your free chuppo. I asked your company numerous times the limitations of the free chuppo trying to clarify the 500 (1000 users). 1. I was under the impression based on your company that either a user could log in 1000 times or 2. that 1000 users could use it. Not that it was limited to 1000 connections per site. Our users constantly get “kicked off” or receive error messages, thus all of that counting as a “log in” I asked for instructions, and was told there are none. We were cut off of chat in the middle of a chat holiday nite. Your company has constantly pushed us to purchase chuppo. Yet at the high price of $49 PER MONTH — you only provide 2000 connections. You are putting us out of business. Even the person above believes it is 1000 users vs. connections!

    1) Do you think “user sessions” term and “Non-unique user chat sessions” description are misleading? Tell me what you think would be correct to say instead.

    2) “Kicked off” is a wrong message, we replaced it with “Connection interrupted”. This is actually what happens in such cases. Connection may be lost because of different reasons: like reloading chat application that we do once a week at average to upload new changes, or client connection may be weak. You are wrong to suppose that we intentionally disconnect users to make them log in again. Users would go away, this is clearly not our intention. If you think it happens too often, let us know and we will look into this since it doesn’t seem to be a common problem.

    3) You always have choice not to subscribe if you think that pricing is high. If $49/month is putting you out of business you should probably review your business plans or maybe attract 3rd party funding. I think that complaining at company blog is not the right way to communicate prices down. What I would like to ask you is to post strictly on topic and if the problem is individual then to send email directly to me: info AT skalfa DOT com.

    1. I have no idea what you are referring to by the term “Non-unique user chat sessions” what the heck does that mean?

    2. Users are kicked off or connection interrupted ALL THE TIME with multiple users!!!! I have complained and complained and you do nothing about it except count it as a chat session against us!!!!!!!!!! IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME, DAILY, within minutes.

    3. $49 is too high a price to pay for a feature that does not work correctly for only 2000 connections where people are constantly kicked off and you will do nothing about it.

    4. Your company refuses to refund us our $295 for maintaining over 1000 members has you advertise yet you claim we haad 1000 connections to chat!

    5. I will continue to “complain” on a company blog until you fix the above issues. You have people who provide me wrong or incorrect responses, I was told chat would be updated within 24 hrs that never occurred. Do you not want other customers to see all the issues? I am given multiple different emails to contact you people and you don’t answer your telephone nor call me as you claim you will.
